Marvel Comics unveiled its new event for 2020 over the holiday break, and it’s one that will have wide-ranging impact across the Marvel comic universe.

What’s going on: Marvel will launch a new series called “Empyre” beginning in April.

  • The series will show the Avengers and the Fantastic Four teaming up to fight a new Emperor, who united the Kree and the Skrull together under one rule.
  • The series will tie into Marvel’s 80-year history of stories. The series will also impact the future of the series, too.
