Marvel may soon announce a casting decision for who will play Ms. Marvel, according to reports.
What’s going on: The Marvel news and rumors website MCU Cosmic reported this week that Marvel is closing in on choosing the actress who will play Kamala Khan, who becomes the super-heroine Ms. Marvel.
- “It sounds like Marvel has found their Ms. Marvel,” MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad tweeted. “No names yet, but it’s in the final stages of casting and we might learn who it is soon!”
- Marvel is reportedly looking for a Pakistani-American girl who is 15 to 20 years old.
- Marvel is reportedly making offers to actresses.
What it means: Per MCU Cosmic, “That means Marvel has either found their Kamala, or they have it narrowed down to a small list of people. Either way, we might be hearing a name soon and there’s a good chance it’s going to be an unknown actress playing the role.”
The show: “Ms. Marvel” will be a Disney Plus show. It currently does not have a release date, along with “Moon Knight” and “She-Hulk,” which were series announced at the D23 Expo in summer 2019, according to the Deseret News.
- Ms. Marvel joins a slew of Marvel characters we’ll see by the end of 2022, including Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Thor, Doctor Strange, US Agent, Jane Foster, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Valkyrie, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Loki, Shang-Chi, Monica Rambeau and the Eternals.
