Disney Plus announced Thursday morning that an all-star list of alums from “Star Wars” will join the animated “Lego Star Wars Holiday Special.”
The new cast members added to the special include:
- Kelly Marie Tran (who plays Rose Tico)
- Billy Dee Williams (who plays Lando Calrissian)
- Anthony Daniels (who plays C-3PO)
- Matt Lanter (who voices Anakin Skywalker in “The Clone Wars”)
- Tom Kane (who voices Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn in “The Clone Wars”)
- James Arnold Taylor (who voices Obi-Wan Kenobi in “The Clone Wars”)
- Dee Bradley Baker (who voices clone troopers in “The Clone Wars”)
It’s unclear if other stars — like Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Mark Hamill and others — will join the special.
“Lego Star Wars Holiday Special” will feature “Star Wars” legends Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron, who will return to celebrate Life Day — the Christmas-like holiday introduced in the 1978 classic “Star Wars Holiday Special,” which premiered Nov. 17, 1978, on CBS.
- The special will take place after “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Rey and BB-8 will visit a Jedi Temple that sends them through time to interact with previous characters from the “Star Wars” universe, including Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and more, which Disney Plus previously said in a release.
