Disney Parks

Disneyland will soon be selling the famous Disneyland corn dog at Award Wieners when Buena Vista Street reopens on Nov. 19.

  • Award Wieners is reportedly one of the restaurants that will open up at the park, according to the Disney Food Blog.

Buena Vista Street is reopening as an extension of Downtown Disney shopping district. The rest of the California Adventure Park will remain closed during that time.

  • Disneyland and other major theme parks are still waiting to reopen. California issued a slew of guidelines that only allow the bigger theme parks to reopen when the parks’ counties face less restrictions due to COVID-19, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

Dr. Clayton Chau, the director of the Orange County Health Care Agency, said in a statement to the Deseret News that he doesn’t see Orange County reaching the yellow tier until at earliest 2021.

  • “I think for a large county like us, especially a county with institution of higher education where folks (are) coming in from outside the county and outside the state, I think it’s going to be very hard to achieve the yellow tier,” he said.
  • “It depends on when the vaccine will come as well as how many doses (are) available for our populations as well as how many of our residents will readily accept the vaccine — those are the three factors that will determine how soon we can get to the yellow tier.”
  • “Personally, I think that we can look forward to a yellow tier by next summer, hopefully. Hopefully.”
