It’s unclear if Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman” will introduce a Joker character. But there’s some concept art that features a popular actor in the role.
What’s going on?
A new concept design for “The Batman” film shows actor Adrien Brody as the Joker.
Brody, who starred in the reboot of “King Kong,” recently appeared in the gritty crime drama “Peaky Blinders.” His appearance in that show has inspired one fan to create concept art with Brody in the role of the Joker.
- “It’s an intimidating look for the Joker, which leans into the classic gangster element to the villain rather than the typical unhinged serial killer,” according to Heroic Hollywood.
‘The Joker’ in ‘The Batman’
It’s unclear if a Joker character will appear in “The Batman.” We already saw a new Joker movie in 2019 with Joaquin Phoenix in the role, which had its own controversy and problems when it came to violence and mental health.
That said, “The Batman” is slated to feature major characters from the franchise, including James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), the Penguin (Collin Farrell) and the Riddler (Paul Dano).
The film has been seen as a companion piece to “Joker.”
- CNN said: “Warner Bros. has taken some of DC Entertainment’s most beloved characters in a new direction focusing on more personal, and even adult-oriented stories.”
