As more and more Americans are encouraged to self-isolate and stay at home due to the spread of the coronavirus, many people are beginning to find more creative ways to reach out and interact with others.
For book-lovers who are looking to find ways to reach out, author Erika Hall has come up with a solution.
The “Quarantine Book Club” will allow people from all over to join in book discussions with the authors themselves, using Zoom to chat, according to the book club’s website.
Authors involved in the discussions include:
- Arjun Basu, author of “Waiting for the Man”
- Michael Bierut, author of “Now You See It”
- Maria Ingrande Mora, author of “Fragile Remedy”
- Several others
The discussions will give time for the authors to introduce themselves and their work, after which the participants will be able to ask questions of the author, according to a description on eventbrite.com.
After signing up, an email will be sent out with a Zoom access code that can be used to participate, according to the description on eventbrite.com.
Tickets for each book discussion are $5 and the tickets can be purchased on the book club’s website, quarantinebookclub.com.
