Facebook is hosting a star-studded virtual graduation event to celebrate this year’s graduating seniors, according to Variety.

“#Graduation2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebrate the Class of 2020” will be live-streamed on May 15 and will feature Oprah Winfrey as the commencement speaker, as well as a performance from Miley Cyrus and appearances from Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X and Simone Biles, Variety reported.

Schools across the country have been closed for the rest of the year in all except eight states, according to People magazine. Many states have begun to reschedule graduation ceremonies for a later date or plan a virtual ceremony.

The class of 2020 is “commencing at a time of great uncertainty,” Marne Levine, Facebook’s vice president of partnerships, business and corporate development, wrote in a blog post announcing the event. “But graduating is a tremendous achievement, and worth pausing to celebrate even in these circumstances.”

The live-streamed ceremony will also acknowledge individual high schools and colleges across the U.S. and feature photos and videos of the class of 2020 and messages from principals and deans from around the country, Levine wrote in the blog post.

Instagram will also launch some new special features in the week leading up to the graduation ceremony on May 15, according to People. Instagram will post daily starting May 11, highlighting traditional high school senior experiences, including senior superlatives and senior skip day.

Other new features from Instagram will include special graduation stickers and a graduation theme for Music Stickers, according to People.

“#Graduation2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebrate the Class of 2020” will stream live on Facebook Watch on May 15 at 12 p.m. MT.
