Lori Vallow Daybell’s oldest son will speak on Friday night’s episode of “Dateline NBC” about her mother and his two missing siblings.
What’s the news:
- Colby Ryan — Vallow’s oldest son — will speak in Friday night’s “Dateline NBC” special, which will focus on Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow.
- According to reports, Ryan will plead with his mother to release information in the episode.
- Ryan says: “It hurts so much. And on top of that, we have a million questions. So you can’t call your own mom. You can’t go to your house — or her house — and see your siblings. You’re just out in the cold.”
- Ryan says: “Like, how do you not produce the kids? That’s the whole reason you’re in jail in the first place right now.”
What happened:
- Lori Vallow Daybell’s two children — Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17 — have been missing since September 2019. The investigation kicked off when JJ’s grandparents reported him missing.
- Lori Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell, fled to Hawaii in December without the children.
- Lori Vallow was later arrested on charges of desertion and nonsupport. She sits in a Rexburg, Idaho, jail on a $1 million bond.
Has Colby Ryan spoken before?
- Yes. Back in March, Colby Ryan told Fox 10 Phoenix that he had spoken to his mother. According to reporter Justin Lum, Ryan “said he pleaded with her to do the right thing and it was an emotional conversation. It ended with Vallow telling her son she loved him.”‘
