Social media caught wind of Lori Loughlin’s decision to plead guilty in the college admissions scandal, which led to “Aunt Becky” trending online.
Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, agreed to plead guilty in the college admissions scandal Thursday morning. The couple had been charged with paying $500,000 in bribes so their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, could be crew recruits for the University of Southern California.
Loughlin will be sentenced to two months in prison, a $150,000 fine and two years of supervised released with 100 hours of community service, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts.
Loughlin was dropped from the Hallmark Channel series “When Calls the Heart” and the Netflix series “Fuller House” in the immediate aftermath of the scandal.
Social media didn’t forget that Loughlin portrayed Aunt Becky on “Full House,” though. Fans mentioned her old role when making references to the guilty plea.

I guess she should've listened to Aunt Becky about cheating.#thursdaymorning
Aunt Becky only getting two months in jail, community service, and a supervised release for a guilty plea. That’s about as privileged as you can get.
