For over a decade, readers have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of “Midnight Sun.” Open this book and see why it was worth the wait!

The book will be released on Aug. 4. It will cost $27.99.

Earlier this week, Meyer’s website release a countdown clock. Fickle Fish Films, Meyer’s production company, posted the same clock with a vague caption, as Anne Wallace reported.

Fans speculated the countdown would lead to the announcement of “Midnight Sun,” which had been shelved back in 2008 because an incomplete manuscript was leaked, according to People magazine.

Some fans speculated the countdown clock would lead to an official sequel announcement.
