Disney Plus has been taken over by “Star Wars” to celebrate “Star Wars” Day, aka as May the 4th.
What’s the news:
- Disney Plus is honoring “Star Wars” artist this weekwith the release of original concept art from the franchise.
- The series and films artwork will include original concept paintings, which were used during the production and storyboarding process for the entire franchise.
- Disney Plus said: “For the first time, fans will be able to navigate to a dedicated brand page directly from carousel art.”
- The Disney Plus homepage will include concept art from Ralph McQuarrie and his painting of droids in the desert, which was used for the original “Star Wars” film.
The updated art will be available for:
- “The Complete Skywalker Saga.”
- “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
- “The Mandalorian.”
- “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” (series).
- “Star Wars: Rebels.”
- “Star Wars: Resistance.”

Disney Plus has released new avatar images of “Star Wars” characters, too. Anyone with a Disney Plus can customize their account avatar with one of seven new characters, including Darth Maul, Jabba the Hutt, Bo Katan, D-O, Captain Rex, Porg and 332nd Trooper.
