SALT LAKE CITY — ActressKelly Preston, 57, died Sunday, losing her two-year battle with breast cancer.

A family representative told People, “Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends. She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched.”

The actress was married to actor John Travolta and a mother to three, Ella, 20, Benjamin, 9, and Jett, who passed away at 16.

On Sunday night, Travolta shared a heartfelt message about the passing of his wife on Instagram, stating: “Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT”

Preston had not been photographed publicly since June 2018 when she, alongside her husband, walked the red carpet for the premiere of their film “Gotti,” in which Travolta played the late mobster, John Gotti, and she played Gotti’s wife, Victoria, according to CNN.
