Taco Bell announced Friday that it has removed 12 “old favorites” from its menu, paving the way for new items to be released.
Taco Bell said it will simplify its menu beginning Aug. 13.
“This evolved menu approach comes after months of analyzing the new way we are running our restaurants. With safety top of mind, we want to ensure an easy and fast ordering experience for our guests and team members,” the company said.
Taco Bell said the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the company to innovate and streamline processes. The menu changes come as a result of that streamlining and testing.
“And while change is hard, a simplified menu and innovation process will leave room for new fan favorites, continued progress in categories such as plant-based diets, and even opportunities for the return of some classics on a limited time basis.”
