On his birthday, Antonio Banderas has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19, according to CNN.

The actor, who turned 60 on Aug. 10, shared the news on social media in a note written in Spanish, CNN reported.

“Greetings to you all. I want to make public that today, the 10th of August, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine after (testing) positive for COVID-19,” Banderas wrote on Twitter Monday morning, according to a translation from People magazine.

But Banderas assured fans he’s doing well and that he expects to recover quickly.

“I would like to add that I feel relatively good, just a little more tired than usual, and am confident that I will recover as soon as possible following medical instructions that I hope will allow me to overcome the infectious period that I am suffering, and that is affecting so many people around the planet,” Banderas wrote, according to Variety.

“I will take advantage of this isolation to read, write, rest and continue making plans to begin to give meaning to my 60 years, to which I arrive full of enthusiasm,” Banderas added, according to Variety. “A big hug to everyone.”
