“The Mandalorian” star Gina Carano recently praised “Star Wars” fans in a new social media post, which came days after fans celebrated her.

What happened?

Carano posted a new tweet Monday that thanked fans for their continued support for her as a “Star Wars” actress, according to CinemaBlend.

  • “You all got #WeLoveCaraDune trending.. My heart is so blessed.. love finds a way. #nevergiveup I see you,” she said in her tweet, which included video footage.

The tweet came after Carano received heavy support from “Star Wars” fans. Over the weekend, fans tweeted so much praise for Carano that the hashtag #WeLoveGinaCarano trended across the United States and the world, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.

Carano has faced backlash in recent months from the “Star Wars” community — or at least a subset of it, as I’ve written about for the Deseret News. Fans created the  #FireGinaCarano hashtag, calling on Disney to fire the actress for her political beliefs, which she previously shared on Twitter, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
