Galerie Candy has released a new hot chocolate candy egg, and it is based off Baby Yoda from “The Mandalorian.”

  • The egg can be dropped into water and it will create hot chocolate. For this one, the egg will melt and reveal a marshmallow Baby Yoda inside.
  • “Each magic hot chocolate melt can be dissolved in a cup of hot milk to reveal a marshmallow surprise,” the company says on its website.
  • The egg costs $5.99.
‘Star Wars’ theory turns dark ‘Mandalorian’ moment into something kinder

Per Mashed: “So if you have a Star-Wars loving bestie in your life, or partner, or mail carrier, this might be the perfect egg-y treat to reduce them to tears.”

Speaking of eggs ...

Baby Yoda actually caused controversy over eggs in Season 2 of “The Mandalorian.” In the season’s second episode, The Child actually ate Frog Lady’s eggs. It caused an uproar among some in the “Star Wars” community, as I explained for the Deseret News.

Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, didn’t think it was that bad according to IGN.

  • “Oh, cancel culture,” Ridley said. “Look, Mando’s gotta eat, Yoda’s got to get strong. That’s just that.”
  • “No, I’m like, ‘Yoda, do your thing.’ The creature (Frog Lady) got to be where she needed to be with the eggs. It’s all good. It was beautiful.”
You can buy official Baby Yoda macrons. But they’re not cheap

More candy

This isn’t the first candy made based around “The Mandalorian.” In fact, Baby Yoda macrons went on sale during fall 2020, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.

In the “Mandalorian” episode titled “The Siege,” The Child (Baby Yoda) stole a blue macron from a student inside a classroom. He chomps it down in what became a meme-able moment.

  • Those same macrons went on sale soon after, according to iO9. The macrons were once available at Williams Sonoma, a luxury brand. They are no longer available.
