Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said on Sunday that the upcoming Marvel project “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will have plenty of Easter eggs compared to past Marvel projects.

What happened?

Feige spoke at a global press conference for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Sunday, which I attended virtually. He was asked about how the past Marvel projects — from “Iron Man” to “Avengers: Endgame,” to even the “Captain America” trilogy — will impact the new “Falcon and Winter Soldier” series.

  • Feige said: “The past is prologue, the clues are everywhere in what has led to this moment. Sometimes it’s just a name but we do pull from the lineage from the comics and tweak it. Stay tuned over the course of the series.”
  • So you can probably expect some Easter eggs in the new show.

Context

Feige’s comments came after a question connected to the ending of the first episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” We won’t spoil it here. But feel free to check back to understand the meaning of this quote after the first episode.

Still, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” star Anthony Mackie teased that there will be some surprises in the new show, too, which could include some cameos from past stars.

“Yes, there are many surprises. We can’t say who they all are but there are many surprises.”
