“Star Wars” legend Mark Hamill recently addressed a really dark Ewok theory (that’s really just a joke) in the fan community.

Hamill quote-tweeted a meme about a “Star Wars” theory, which wondered how the Ewoks in “Return of the Jedi” could have had a dress fit for Leia Organa “unless they cooked and ate a woman her size.”

This theory stems from the fact that the Ewoks tried to roast Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca in “Return of the Jedi” before Leia arrived. Leia was given a dress by the Ewoks. So the major question is a big one.

Hamill responded to the theory, saying, “I‘m trying NOT to think about it.”

The other Ewok theory

There’s been a long-running theory among “Star Wars” fans that the Ewoks all died at the end of “Return of the Jedi” when the Death Star II was destroyed. The theory posits that the wreckage from the Death Star would have fallen onto the forest moon of Endor and killed all the furry creatures. So that’s another dark Ewok theory that we’ve never really heard more about.

However, in “The Force Awakens,” Kylo Ren had Darth Vader’s masks, which hints that he traveled to the Ewok homeland and retrieved it. And in “The Rise of Skywalker,” we saw Death Star wreckage on a different planet, which suggests the broken Death Star didn’t kill all the Ewoks.
