Republicans are at a crossroads: They have the opportunity (through impeachment) to rid their party of Mr. Trump and to rid themselves of what I assume is a difficult moral burden of pretending they are proud to be associated with such an unqualified, immoral person.

The thread by which the Constitution is hanging today is the question of whether a president is accountable for his conduct, character, morals and integrity or whether, by political bullying, he can simply do what he wants. Those interested in preserving the Constitution should be anxiously engaged in removing the current president from office.
