One topic dominated the news this week: impeachment.
A whistleblower and the Ukraine scandal have been the biggest stories this week.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Tuesday that the House will begin a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump.
The next day, the Department of Justice released a five-page summary of the phone call in question between Trump and Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The complaint from the whistleblower that sparked the impeachment inquiry was released Thursday.
Climate change was another story that gained traction this week after a speech from activist Greta Thunberg to world leaders.
Thunberg, a 16-year-old from Sweden, spoke to world leaders at the 2019 U.N. climate action summit in New York. The teen received harsh criticism from the right, including President Trump.
In a tweet, Thunberg said she didn’t “understand why adults would choose to spend their time mocking and threatening teenagers and children for promoting science, when they could do something good instead.”
