The nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court has been met with alarm in some quarters and hope in others. I think it provides a great opportunity for voters in this election.
For those voters who are supporting President Donald Trump mostly out of a desire to see the courts shifted back to the right, this nomination allows them to vote against Trump. The most important goal he had, the longest lasting impact he will make, has been accomplished. He has filled nearly 300 federal judge positions and three Supreme Court seats.
Those voters are now free to vote against this deeply flawed incumbent and, hopefully, get our country back on the path of the rule of law and integrity.
