When the cure is worse than the disease, it’s time to rethink what we’re doing. It absolutely makes sense to protect the vulnerable, for anyone sick, elderly or with underlying conditions to stay home. Washing hands is necessary, masks and encouraging social distancing may be helpful.
Shutting down the entire economy will cause more damage than the pandemic.
Jobs are being lost that will take years to come back. Suicides and domestic violence rates are rising. Governments are getting high on power trips and trampling all over civil liberties. The Constitution isn’t a nice idea that we shelve whenever it gets inconvenient. Demanding that everyone stay home isn’t a quarantine, it’s putting us all on house arrest. Quarantine is for the sick.
