What ever happened to good ol’ American ingenuity in figuring out things to say to one another when things are rough? Are we reduced to repeating platitudes when others are deeply hurting?

Why reduce the complexity of life to a single common denominator written by those who commercialize life for private benefit?

Here are a few suggestions to replace the “same old, same old” phrases of conversations and advertisements today. “We will do as well at home as we do at work ...  I could easily be in your shoes ...  You provide what we all need ...  If one of us rises, the other will too ... These surprisingly unprepared times ...”
