Letter: PBS documentary shares the facts on climate change

Letter to the editor Deseret News

April 22 was Earth Day, and PBS broadcasted an hourlong documentary titled “Climate Change: The Facts.” It was narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The program tells us that 20 of the last 22 years have been the hottest ever recorded. This rise in temperature is human-caused and results from the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere due to burning fossil fuels and deforestation. The documentary has interviews with some of the world’s leading climate scientists who tell us climate change is a global threat, both to human populations and the natural world. The program also shows potential solutions.

If you Google “Climate Change: The Facts,” you can watch this program on your computer.

Climate change is one of the globe’s most pressing issues and we need to take action before it’s too late.
