As I witnessed the signing of the $2 trillion coronavirus bill, I noticed two things. First, only GOP legislators and Trump administration officials were in attendance. Wasn’t this a bipartisan effort, or was this more of a political event?

Second, those in attendance including Vice President Pence, Senate President McConnell, and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin and four or five others were lined up shoulder-to-shoulder positioning for their presidential pens. Aren’t these the same leaders who are advising us to maintain social distancing of at least six feet? I’ll continue to look to our medical experts for advice on COVID-19, not our political leaders.
