Elections are coming up in November. What qualities do you hope for in the man who will be elected?
I hope for a president who knows what our Constitution states and will follow it ... a president who thoughtfully chooses cabinet members, knowing he will need the best advise and expertise that others can give him.
I hope for a president who will respect and work with our allies — one who will never put their freedom or lives in jeopardy by rash decisions. I hope for a president that will make executive orders with careful restraint, knowing that the job of Congress is to make the laws of our nation, not him.
I hope for a president who recognizes that governmental oversight is necessary to deter corruption and protect our hard-earned tax dollars. I wish for one that doesn’t go about undoing what past presidents have accomplished.
Lastly, I hope for a president that will put our nation’s needs before his own, knowing that he is sworn to do so; a president who respects the rights of the people to choose who they want to governed by, even if it’s not him.
