Deseret News

As this pandemic continues, it is affecting negatively almost every aspect of our lives throughout the whole world. Our newspapers list the number of new cases every day, along with deaths.

It might be well to remember the words of Benjamin Franklin, spoken at the Constitutional Convention at the beginning of our nation: “I have lived, Sir, a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?”

We feel that we should bow down in humility and humbly ask our Creator to aid us, not only in this crisis, but also in the threats to our freedom from within.
