Ben McAdams sponsored the bipartisan Rural STEM Education Act, which passed the House Sept. 16. Included is badly needed broadband internet access; students and teachers in rural areas across the country will benefit. On Sunday, Sept. 13, his opponent said the Democratic Party is led by “narcissists and sociopaths” who “have no empathy for anyone else.”
In July, Ben led the charge to pass a House amendment that would block nuclear weapons testing, of concern to Utah downwinders. His opponent has pledged support for the president’s plan.
Ben joined in bipartisan votes to pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the Coronavirus Preparedness Response Supplemental Act. His opponent said on Fox News, “the young people that I’ve been trying to fight for and give hope to do not have a chance in our country as long as the Democrats keep power.” He told “Sunday Morning Futures” that Democratic leaders are people who “have no empathy for anyone else” and “love misery.”
The current representative, Ben McAdams, works for all, speaks well of others, works with both parties, and will get things done in Washington.
