The Parleys Canyon fire, which was ignited by hot particles thrown from a vehicle’s poorly working catalytic converter, forced the evacuation of the Summit Park and Pinebrook communities, as well as the Timberline subdivision. Nearby Lambs Canyon and Millcreek Canyon were also evacuated.
