SALT LAKE CITY — As former Logan High School and Washington State standout quarterback Luke Falk made his regular season NFL debut on Monday night with the New York Jets, another Luke Falk — Utah’s Lucas Falk — took Twitter by storm.
As third-string Jets quarterback Luke Falk entered the game — usual starter Sam Darnold was out with mono and backup Trevor Siemian suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter — Lucas Falk tweeted a captivating Twitter thread detailing how he gets emails intended for the quarterback of the same name.
Lucas Falk, who has an email address similar to the Jets quarterback, was even emailed portions of the Tennessee Titans playbook and personality quizzes from teams looking to draft Falk.
Falk was drafted by the Titans with the 199th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft before eventually being waived in September of 2018. From there, he was picked up by the Miami Dolphins in October of 2018 before they waived him. The Jets claimed him off waivers in May.
In a follow-up tweet, Lucas Falk mentioned that he and Luke Falk were even Facebook friends.
Luke Falk finished Monday’s loss to the Browns with 198 yards, completing 80 percent of his passes.

On Tuesday morning, The Athletic’s Rustin Dodd published a story detailing Lucas Falk’s experiences as “Luke Falk.”
