SALT LAKE CITY — Four former Utes have been elevated to the active roster ahead of Week 4 in the NFL.

Francis Bernard, Nate Orchard, Jared Norris and Javelin Guidry all made the 53-man roster for their respective teams this week.

Former Utah Utes and BYU Cougars linebacker Francis Bernard will likely be making his NFL debut on Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys face off against the Cleveland Browns at 11 a.m. MDT.

Bernard, who has been on the Cowboys’ practice squad this season and was signed as an undrafted free agent in April, will be seeing his first action at AT&T Stadium. Bernard is expected to play his snaps on special teams.

Defensive end Nate Orchard, who signed a contract with Washington, has been activated from the practice squad ahead of Washington’s matchup with the Baltimore Ravens at 11 a.m. MDT. Orchard played five games for Washington in 2019, with 14 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

Linebacker Jared Norris was also activated for Washington. Norris has played two games for Washington on special teams so far in 2020.

The New York Jets elevated defensive back Javelin Guidry to the active roster before their Thursday Night Football loss against the Denver Broncos. Guidry saw action on special teams.
