SALT LAKE CITY — Don’t expect the NBA to begin the day it’s given the green light to play.

It might take at least 25 days for the league to get going again if one plan presented to the NBA is accepted.

ESPN reported that one of the comeback plans would include 11 days of individual workouts that would include some training and activity while still allowing for some social distancing. That would be followed by a two-week training camp for entire teams.

Commissioner Adam Silver has asked employees to brainstorm ideas for a re-entry program for when society transitions from the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.

The ESPN article noted that peers, medical teams and league executives are concerned about the return timeline because some players might be susceptible to injuries after not properly training due to quarantine situations.

Utah State quarterback Jordan Love continues to be one of the more talked-about players in the 20202 NFL Draft.

Sportscaster Kay Adams, who hosts “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network, gave Love some love this week.

“I would not be surprised,” she said, “if he ends up being completely overlooked in the first round and ends up in that Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson territory ... crushing it in the NFL.”

VIDEO ATHLETE

Donovan Mitchell probably didn’t get to play as many video games growing up as most kids because of his obsession with sports. He seems to be making up for it during the COVID-19 lockdown.
