On Thursday night, Utah sports figures and Utah leaders promoted a new COVID-19 assessment website, TestUtah.com.
The site is a collaboration between the state of Utah and Silicon Slopes and allows anyone to take an online assessment to find out if they are eligible for COVID-19 testing.
The site takes you through a few questions, then determines if you are eligible to receive a COVID-19 test. If you are eligible, you can set up a time slot for a drive-thru test. The third step of the plan, if the individual tests positive, is to answer some questions, such as who you might have been in contact with and where you have traveled recently.

Numerous sports figures, including Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, BYU football coach Kalani Sitake, Utah defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley, BYU basketball coach Mark Pope, Utah Jazz owner Gail Miller, BYU radio announcer Greg Wrubell and Utah radio announcer Bill Riley, promoted the website via social media.
“Let’s get Utah back on the court. Go to TestUtah.com today for your online assessment. Let’s crush the curve,” Gobert said.
“Utah, we can crush this curve with this three-step process. Go to testutah.com. Let’s get Utah back in the game,” Mitchell said.
Sitake got into it with karaoke.
Pope also chipped in to get the word out.
“Let’s get BYU men’s basketball and the entire state of Utah back to draining 3s and dunking on cats’ heads. The best way to do that together and safely is by going to TestUtah.com, where you can get assessed and actually get drive-thru testing for COVID-19 to keep us all safe,” Pope said.
Here are the messages from Miller, Scalley, Wrubell and Riley.
