SALT LAKE CITY — Eleven of Utah’s athletics programs have earned perfect Academic Progress Report scores.

Women’s basketball, cross-country, gymnastics, soccer, softball, men’s and women’s skiing, women’s swimming, men’s tennis, track and field and volleyball netted perfect single-year marks of 1000 in an NCAA report that uses eligibility, graduation and retention of student-athletes on scholarships to gauge academic performance.

Gymnastics, men’s tennis and volleyball have multi-year perfect APR scores. Those programs joined football in receiving recent recognition from the NCAA for placing in the top 10 nationally in multi-year APR.

“I am very proud of the academic performance of all of our sport programs and the emphasis our coaches place on our students graduating,” Utah athletics director Mark Harlan said in the announcement. “Our students are dedicated in the classroom, just as they are in their athletic pursuits, and work extremely hard to achieve excellence. I’m also appreciative of the tremendous staff who support our student-athletes and our campus partners who share in this success.”
