SALT LAKE CITY — Long-range shots became a signature for Jimmer Fredette as he morphed into a national phenomenon at BYU nearly a decade ago. On Tuesday, he flashed that skill once again, albeit on a much smaller stage but with an obstacle in the way much bigger than any defender.
Fredette posted on Twitter Tuesday a video of himself throwing a toy basketball over the roof of a large home toward a kiddie basketball hoop, saying “Trick shot Tuesday, over the house” as he got ready to fire.
Of course, the ball went in, and Fredette yelled, “That’s why I wanted to do it. One more. Let’s go. Over the house, baby” as he flexed.
On Sept. 6, Fredette announced he will be going back to play for the Shanghai Sharks in China for the upcoming season after playing last season in Greece.
