It was a great year for the BYU offense, and Pro Football Focus noticed.

PFF shared a tweet Friday morning that showed the highest-graded football players from the 2020 college football season, and the Cougars were well-represented with two student-athletes among the top five.

No. 2 nationally was BYU’s consensus All-American offensive tackle Brady Christensen. His grade of 96.0 trailed only Florida tight end Kyle Pitts, at 96.2.

Cougar quarterback Zach Wilson came in at No. 5, with a 95.4 grade. He finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting and was the second quarterback on the list, behind Alabama’s Mac Jones at No. 3 (95.7).

Virginia Tech offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw was fourth at 95.6.

Both Christensen and Wilson have declared for the 2021 NFL draft.
