Grayce Glover knocked down two 3-pointers in the first quarter, fueling a great start for No. 4 Kanab which built a 27-14 halftime lead on No. 5 Enterprise and never looked back for the 2A quarterfinal win at the Sevier Valley Center. Rylee Anderson added nine points and 11 rebounds, while Enterprise’s Dykell Jones led her team with 17 points.
Layton Christian 51, Wasatch Academy 39
Behind a big first and third quarter, Layton Christian rolled past Wasatch Academy for the 2A quarterfinal win at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. Patricia Ramirez was outstanding all game for the Eagles as she finished with 28 points on 11 of 18 shooting, including making four 3-pointers. Nataly Dunka led Wasatch Academy in the loss with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
North Summit 47, Duchesne 39
After a big third quarter from Duchesne, No. 2 seed North Summit pulled away in the fourth quarter to clinch the 2A quarterfinal victory at the Sevier Valley Center. Hadley Richins led all scorers with 17 points, with Brynlee Richins and Melia Evans each chipping in with 11 more.
Millard 48, Beaver 44
After losing to Beaver twice during region play, Millard got sweet revenge in the playoffs as the sixth-seeded Eagles edged No. 3 Millard for the victory in the 2A quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Paige Cummings had a huge game for Millard as she accounted for nearly half of her teams points with 22, including three 3-pointers. Avery Brown scored 15 points in the loss for Beaver.
