3A playoffs

San Juan 71, Grand 67

In a game with massive second-half momentum swings, San Juan benefitted from that last swing, overcoming a 13-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to rally for the 3A quarterfinal win. Ladd Ivins led the Broncos with 28 points on six 3-pointers to offset a big night from Moroni Seely Roberts from Grand, who finished with 26 points.

Grantsville 50, Carbon 37

After a low-scoring defensive first half that was tied 17-17, top seed Grantsville pulled away from Carbon in the second half by shooting 59% for the 3A quarterfinal win. Tuhker Mulford led the Cowboys with 14 points, with Davin Evans chipping in 13.

Juab 53, Richfield 30

Juab’s suffocating defense held Richfield to single digit points in all four quarters as the Wasps rolled to the 3A quarterfinal win at the Sevier Valley Center. Ty Allred recorded a double-double to lead Juab with 18 points and 11 rebounds, with Dawson Olsen adding 14 points. As a team, Juab shot 66% while holding Richfield just just 32%.

Judge Memorial 61, Manti 47

Dom Burns poured in 31 points as Judge Memorial pulled away from Manti in the fourth quarter to claim the 3A quarterfinal victory. Judge led 31-23 at the half, but Manti cut it to six heading into the fourth quarter. Nico Smith added 11 points for Judge, with Jace Holmes chipping in 10. Manti’s Grady Thompson led his team with 20 points.

1A playoffs

Wayne 48, ICS 39

Jake Batty scored 15 points and Hunter Mitchell and Ethan Morrill added 12 each as visiting Wayne outscored ICS 17-6 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the 1A first round victory.

Diamond Ranch 66, Dugway 47

Zack Vasser put up 16 points with two 3-pointers to help Diamond Ranch take the win over visiting Dugway in the 1A first round. Wyatt Toombs added 14 points for the D-Backs.

Milford 61, Green River 53

In a back-and-forth game all night, Milford pulled away down the stretch for the narrow 1A first round win at Green River. Corbyn Dalton led Milford with 16 points, one of four Tigers who scored in double figures. Rad Hughes scored 21 points to lead Green River in the loss.
