Wasatch went to Springville and left with an impressive 5-0 victory over the Red Devils on Tuesday. Worried about their opponent’s solid defense, the Wasps looked to attack early and often. In doing so they recorded 18 shots in the first half alone, with four of those finding the back of the net.

The second half was a dominant defensive performance by Elder Gutierrez and his teammates, who finished the game with their second shutout of the season. They did a very good job of both limiting opportunities and finding a way to get a stop when they did get some.

The win keeps Wasatch undefeated after their fourth game.

“Our boys are very hungry this year. These seniors have played together since most were 8. We are excited about the opportunity to play this year. We look forward to region play and playing against some very good competition,” Wasatch coach Jared Hendry in regards to the rest of the season.
