Carlo Mulford, Herriman (Jr.)

Herriman heads into region play as the top-ranked team in 6A so far this season, and the steady play of Carlo Mulford has been one of the catalysts.

The junior is averaging 18.1 points, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals. His assist-to-turnover ratio is nearly 5-1.

“Carlo is one of the most efficient and hardworking point guards I’ve been able to coach. His competitive spirit, drive, and work ethic are inspiring to us as coaches and players,” said Herriman coach Doug Meacham. “He is a player who knows he could score more points but does whatever is required to help us win games and that’s a sign of an intelligent point guard and one that is bought into winning.”

Last Friday in Herriman’s 62-61 win over Juan Diego, Mulford led the Mustangs with 22 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. Before the Christmas break, he led Herriman to a 3-0 record at the KSA Florida tournament was named the tournament MVP.
