Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden snagged all five votes in the tiny township of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.
- The location is among the first places in the United States to announce its results every year.
The voting process is a little different than normal. All eligible voters will go into a “ballot room” where they will cast their secret ballots once polls open at midnight, CNN reports.
- Votes are then tallied and results announced.
- The announcement often comes hours before anywhere else in the country announces a decision.
The town is “a favored spot for reporters and observers eager for any hints of what is to come on Election Day,” according to CNN.
Flashback:
In 2016, the results were a little different. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won four of the votes, then-candidate Donald Trump earned two votes and Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson got one vote in 2016, as I wrote about for Deseret News.
Funny, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won one vote during the 2016 election at the location.
