“The Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal recently hinted at what the future of the show will look like, and how many seasons it’ll have by the end of its run.
What’s going on?
Pascal told “Entertainment Tonight” that the show will focus on quality rather than quantity in the rest of its run.
- “No idea, I have no idea. Because I think that quality is always gonna override quantity. So as long as it’s staying at this incredible standard to which it is at, it’s more a matter of that than anything else.”
Pascal may even appear as The Mandalorian in a “Star Wars” series. “Mandalorian” showrunner Jon Favreau agreed, adding that the show and movies will blend, as all “Star Wars” projects do, according to Variety.
- “The line is blurring now (between streaming and movie theaters),” Favreau previously told Variety. “Things that you would have only seen in the movie theater, you’re seeing on streaming, and I think it could go the other way as well.”
What’s coming next?
Favreau told Entertainment Weekly the show will take an approach similar to “Game of Thrones,” adding new characters and storylines to embrace in future seasons.
- “The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world. The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.”
- “As we introduce other characters, there are opportunities to follow different storylines. The world was really captivated by ‘Game of Thrones’ and how that evolved as the characters followed different storylines — that’s very appealing to me as an audience member.”
