Former Vice President Joe Biden could be in for a good night, according to online analysis of the early election results.

What’s going on

Multiple news organizations projected that Biden has won Virginia with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders taking Vermont, which were the first results of what’s expected to be a long night of results in Super Tuesday.

Media members and experts said on social media that the early call for Biden is a sign of a good night for the former vice president, especially because it means former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg — who campaigned as a moderate alternative to Biden — failed to put up a fight despite millions of dollars in advertising.
