Twitter has a question — where are the stimulus checks?
Millions of taxpaying Americans will start to receive extra money from the U.S. government to help pay for rent, groceries and other bills through stimulus checks, which could be deposited as early as Thursday or Friday.
The first group of people — estimated to be around 50 to 60 million Americans — will have their bank account information already in the Internal Revenue Service system, USA Today reports.
Social media members weighed in with tweets, GIFs and photos to summarize how they’re feeling about the lack of a stimulus check showing up in their bank accounts.
