Private investigator Rich Robertson recently weighed in on an interview from the “Dateline NBC” special on Lori Vallow Daybell, raising more concern about the case.

What’s the news:

  • Robertson told 12 News NBC in Phoenix that Melani Pawlowski’s interview from the “Dateline NBC” special surprised him because he never had a chance to speak with her. In the special, Pawlowski said she talked to Vallow Daybell about the missing children but her aunt did not offer an explanation.
  • Robertson said she seemed nervous during her interview.
  • He said: “I think she does know more than what she’s saying at this point. And I understand why she’s reluctant to be totally forthcoming.”
  • The entire Vallow Daybell case has continued to confuse Robertson.
  • He said: “We’re not seeing a more logical explanation for this. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder.”

What’s the latest update

  • On Friday, May, 1, a judge declined to further reduce the bond of Vallow Daybell, whose attorney argued the jail improperly recorded her phone calls, as Annie Knox reported. The judge disagreed.
