Social distancing has forced everyone to shift how they handle watching sports. So some in Poland decided to rent some cranes.
- Fans in Poland rented 21 cranes so they could remain socially-distanced and watch their teams race on a speedway, perYahoo! Sports.
- The fans watched Motor Lublin and team GKM Grudziaz compete. Only a select amount of fans could enter the building because of the COVID-19 restrictions. So the fans rented cranes.

Supporter Krzysztof Cugowski told WP Sportowe Fakty that the display represented how fandom feels about the races.
- “This is crazy, but Lublin is so crazy about speedway. People want to watch it, even from a great height.”
The future may not change much. According to Insider, Stadion Zuzlowy will soon be allowed to hold 50% capacity. So more fans can fit inside.
- Katarzyna Głowacka, a spokesperson for Cross Lublin, said there won’t be “room for everyone.” So the cranes might stay after all.
