The BYU grad and former NASA engineer who went viral last year for his glitter-bomb fake gift prank just went viral again ... with the help of Macaulay Culkin.
The setup: Rober’s video went viral last year when he designed a package that looked like an Apple HomePod. When porch pirates went to steal it, it unleashed a gross smell and shot mounds of glitter out of it. A camera inside filmed the burglars stealing it, too, as the Deseret News reported last year.
- Robert later said that parts of his video were faked without his knowledge. Reactions to the original video weren’t all neutral.
Now: Robert posted a new video this year for a new decoy package that unleashed a “fart spray” and glitter.
- The video includes Macaulay Culkin, who starred in the “Home Alone” film.
- The video has 8 million views so far.
- The video contains bleeped out mature language.
What it does now: The new package looks like a box for headphones. It really has four smartphones inside and a spinning cup that will shoot out glitter. There are two cans of the aforementioned fart spray, per USA Today.
- Rober: “As far as I’m concerned, relatively harmless, karmic justice has never looked so beautiful.”
Viral star: Robert went viral in July when he appeared on special program for “Shark Week,” according to Deseret News.
Package stealing: Salt Lake City was ranked as one of the cities where you’re more than likely to get your package stolen. A report from SafeWise.com found Salt Lake City has a year-round theft rate of 32.60 per 1,000 people. Salt Lake City ranked as the No. 1 city for larceny-theft, according to the Deseret News.
