WEST VALLEY CITY — A suspicious early-morning fire at a car dealership destroyed six vehicles believed to belong to customers, firefighters said.

About 4 a.m., crews responded to the fire at a Chevy dealership near 3500 S. 4000 West in West Valley City, said West Valley Fire Battalion Chief Bridger Williams.

He described the fire as suspicious because of freezing overnight temperatures and the time, which was long after business hours.

The six vehicles burned in the blaze were all considered losses.

“They were skeletons,” Williams said.

The fire ignited in an area of the business reserved for customer cars receiving service, Williams said.

No one was injured.

As of Sunday afternoon, no suspects had been found and the fire remained under investigation.
