SALT LAKE CITY — A Sandy man was arrested near the Utah-Arizona state line on Monday after police found more than $3 million worth of drugs in his car.

Logan Lewis Pederson, 30, was pulled over on I-15 in Mohave County, Arizona, approximately 20 miles from Utah about 3 p.m. Pederson “would not make eye contact with deputies and appeared extremely nervous,” according to a statement from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

A St. George police officer with a drug-sniffing K9 was called to assist with the traffic stop. While searching Pederson’s vehicle police found six jugs weighing a total of 66 pounds that contained liquid methamphetamine, 13 pounds of cocaine, 2 pounds of Ecstasy and 1,000 packages of THC edibles weighing 206 pounds.

The estimated street value of the drugs was more than $3.6 million, according to police.

Pederson was arrested for investigation of drug distribution and drug possession. He was being held in the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
