Utah Sen. Mike Lee spent a brief part of his day riding a scooter around Washington, D.C.
What happened: Lee posted a few video clips to his Instagram page that showed he had some traveling to do for the day.
- Lee said in the first clip that he was meeting with President Donald Trump ahead of the March for Life rally. He attended March for Life. He then had to race back to the Senate for the impeachment trial.
- All the roads were closed. So Lee raced back on a scooter.
- The Instagram clip included the song “I’m Alright” by Kenny Loggins from the film “Caddyshack.”
- Lee: “I’m late for jury duty even though we’re not jurors, we’re senators asked to (work as jurors) for the impeachment trial of the 45th president of the United States, who, by the way, is not going to be impeached.”
I recorded his Instagram story on my phone and shared it on Twitter. Watch the clip below.

Another video: Lee also shared a video of the event on Twitter. His video included President Trump’s speech.
Lee: “I celebrated the joy of life today with @realDonaldTrump and tens of thousands of others at the #MarchForLife rally. Then I had a unique commute as I marched, biked and scootered to the Capitol for day 4 of the impeachment trial.”
